Free Community Movie Nights Start this Wednesday

First Arena Hosting Free Community Movie Nights

ELMIRA, NY - Summer is a great time to enjoy the movies, and First Arena is bringing the cinematic experience to the Twin Tiers for free!

Moviegoers are invited to First Arena Community Movie Nights; a series of three films showcased sans price of admission. The movie nights will be held on Wednesdays with the films starting at 7:00 p.m. and the doors opening at 6:30. In the half-hour leading up to the film there will be special events and promotions for the fans in attendance.

Here is the full schedule for First Arena Community Movie Nights:

Wednesday, August 8

6:30-7:00 p.m.: Silent auction of Elmira Jackals 2011-12 game-worn DARK jerseys**, merchandise clearance sale, meet-and-greet with Jackals forward Chaz Johnson.

7:00 p.m.: Movie - Miracle

**Auction ends 15 minutes following conclusion of the movie.

Wednesday, August 22

6:30-7:00 p.m.: Get a FREE small popcorn with the donation of one non-perishable food item to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier (limit one free popcorn per person).

7:00 p.m.: Movie - Ratatouille

Wednesday, September 5

6:30-7:00 p.m.: Get a FREE small popcorn with the donation of one can/bag of dog or cat food donated to the Chemung County SPCA (limit one free popcorn per person)

7:00 p.m.: Movie - We Bought a Zoo
